We will sculpt from one model for the entire 5 days. Working at life size with solid clay packed around a pipe armature, we‘ll aim for a striking likeness. The model will assume an expression which could inspire a mood or narrative. Throughout the workshop, Tip will demonstrate clear steps in achieving an anatomical head, neck, and shoulders. We’ll also discuss the subtleties and nuances of achieving expression. The last half of the last day we will cut the bust off the armature and hollow, then put it back together. Each participant will be responsible to fire their own work.
