Program Description

This five-day workshop will help you make competent drawings of portraits. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this class will further your skills. Step by step demonstrations by artist/author/instructor Oliver Sin will help you look closely and understand the structure of the face. You will draw from the live models and learn the techniques of mastering expressive portraiture with different dry media. All levels welcome!

Special Notes

We recommend that everyone registered for an in-person program at Gage Academy of Art receives full COVID-19 vaccination. Gage leaves the use of face coverings when indoors at the facility up to each individual as masks are not required.

Extra Soft Vine Charcoal in 6mm, Willow charcoal in 6mm, 4B&6B charcoal pencil, white charcoal pencil, 18"x24" Strathmore 70lbs drawing paper medium surface, 18”x24” smooth newsprint, 2 sheet of 18”x24” toned paper in grey, Xacto-knife, Kneaded eraser, final fixative
