Color pencil is the ideal sketching medium for its versatility and easy clean-up. Using still images of figure models, landscapes, and still life, we learn how to create painterly sketches using limited color palettes. We will gradually block-in the shapes and spaces we observe as the subject emerges from the composition! By building up layers of transparent shapes with the color pencils, we can create complex and unusual mixtures of optical color!
