Immerse yourself in the world of mushrooms with water media and collage. Use watercolor and gouache to render details, color, and textures of these fabulous subjects. Cut and mount your mushroom collage to panel for a delightful piece of art for your home. A combination of digital sources and specimens will be used. Group demonstrations and individual assistance will be provided to meet you at your level of experience with water media. Fundamental drawing experience will set you up for the most success to complete your piece.

  • We recommend that everyone registered for an in-person program at Gage Academy of Art receives full COVID-19 vaccination. Gage leaves the use of face coverings when indoors at the facility up to each individual as masks are not required.


  • $5 fee due in class to help purchase specimens.

    Watercolor paints
    Palette
    Water cup
    Small watercolor brushes
    X-acto knife #1
    Scissors
    Watercolor paper at least 140 lb or more.
    Cutting mat
    Double sided tape
    Artists panel or illustration board for mounting collage
    Mechanical pencil
    Photos of mushrooms

    Optional Supplies

    ¼” Archival double sided artists tape.
    Gouache paints
    Colored pencils
    Bleed proof white paint.
