Travel and draw/paint the world from the comfort of your own home using Google Street View! In these monthly free 90 minute sessions hosted on Zoom, Eleanor & Jenny will bring you to 4 sketchable locations on a theme, which you can capture in the medium of your choice for around 20 minutes each. We will explore diverse areas, from busy cities to remote wilderness. Each session will feature a guest artist who will do a demo, sketching from one of the locations! We will have one warm up location (10 minutes) and fill the rest of the session with three 20 minute sketches. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to share their work with the rest of the Zoom group. You can see and contribute to a map of all the places we've sketched here: https://bit.ly/3Mh3jP3 There is no instruction in this session, nor would we call it a class. But it is a fun opportunity to practice drawing in a supportive, casual environment.

  • Any supplies you want to use are great. We have had people make interesting work using all sorts of materials from simple ball point pens, to acrylic paint markers, to digital media -- and everything in between! We recommend working at a paper size around 5x7" for each location, since each drawing will be no more than 20 minutes.
