Ephemera, The World of Collage and Assemblage
Weekend Workshop | This program has been canceled
In this course we will discover the many varied nuances of making art through collage and glued paper and fabric materials. We will work on different surfaces, both rag paper and panel and in all artistic styles. We will research the history of collage from Kurt Schwitters and Pablo Picasso to modern day contemporary artists that use collage as their main art form. We will explore layering, overlap, isolation, repetition, composition and surface manipulation on various sub straights, with the eventual introduction, integration and addition of acrylic paint mediums.
