Pet Portraits in Watercolor

Paint your fur babies! Learn the techniques to creating expressive watercolor pet portraits. Paint with loose, illustrative strokes or hone in on your fine brush details. Artist Willow Heath will guide you through the step-by-step process of painting bright and expressive watercolor animal illustrations that capture the likeness and character of your animal with ease. Paint pets, talk pets, and share your pet stories(optional) in a relaxed studio environment.
• 140lb watercolor paper 9x12 Recommended: 9x12 Winsor & Newton cotton watercolor block or Blick Premier cotton.
• Watercolor paints, artist quality. Recommended: Winsor & Newton, Sennelier, Daniel Smith, Holbein etc.
• 1 Sakura Brand Gelly Roll Pen- White gel pen .08 or .10
• Assorted round watercolor brushes assorted sizes 2-6. Recommended: Princeton Select series round or Modolata.
• 1 flat watercolor wash brush size 1 inch. Recommended: Princeton Select synthetic flat
• 1 pencil
• 1 roll artist's tape Recommended: Scotch Delicate Surface Painter's Washi Tape .7
• Paper towels
• Scissors
• 1 container for water
• Saral Brand transfer paper or other graphite transfer paper.
• OPTIONAL:1 Pebeo Brand drawing gum masking fluid pen(to mask off white areas)
MUST HAVE 2-4 printed images of a pet in color. Images should be clear, close-up or closely cropped, and printed all the way to the edges on standard copy paper. NOTE: You will be painting them the size you print.
