Core Drawing: Things

Class | This program is completed

Drawing doesn’t just have to be a precursor to paintings or sculpture, it is a language that holds its own next to the other visual arts. Working through a series of still life drawings, Drawing Things is designed to provide new and experienced students a foundation in drawing so that one could realize their artistic vision.

In this class, students will learn the fundamental principles of drawing from observation, develop methods to simplifying complexity and discover the techniques used to observe and interpret everyday objects into thoughtful impressions of reality. An emphasis on composition, materials and surface, and mark making will be stressed throughout as students work to construct thoughtful illusions of form and space.
