2D patterns covering 3D forms can create tone and texture with line. Through a variety of exercises learn techniques such as pen holding, mark making, line weight and cross contour rendering. Demonstrations will include texture techniques, pen brushes and color application. References will include Master prints and ink drawings to contemporary artists. Optional discussion and demonstrations using mixed media of watercolors or colored pencil.
