Bold Fresh Watercolor Landscapes - Beginner
Weekend Workshop | This program is completed
LOCATION NOTE: This class will be taking place at our brand new South Lake Union location, 2107 Westlake Ave.
Learn to paint landscapes inspired by the Northwest fall palette with a bold, fresh approach. Develop an understanding of key steps to creating strong compositions through thumbnail sketches, value studies and exploring color strategies prior to working on larger paintings. Gain knowledge about mixing transparent, staining and opaque pigments to achieve beautiful washes, build layers of rich colors and preserve the light in your composition. Emphasis will be on how to create a personal interpretation of the land through simplification and honing in on what is most important. Inspiration will be gained from demonstrations, visual reference photos and viewing the works of master watercolorists.
