Creative Cartography
Class | Available
LOCATION NOTE: This class will be taking place at our brand new South Lake Union location, 2107 Westlake Ave.
Maps are everywhere. They can give you a sense of direction and lead you to far off adventure. This is not a course to create a dry Google like map. It is a course to create beautifully illustrated artist maps. These illustrated maps are filled with character, detail, a story, and a sense of wonder! Students just need to come with an idea of what kind of map they would like to create. They will learn techniques for creating a pleasing composition, skills in brainstorming and researching for map illustrations, and how to layer color and ink to create a final piece. Students will leave this course with a beautifully rendered hand drawn illustrated map that will be unique to them.
