Explore loose, realistic, and expressive watercolor portrait styles in this mini course instructed by watercolor portrait artist, Willow Heath. Each class focuses on a different portrait style alongside techniques that will imbue your paintings with depth and creativity. Vote together on which lessons to paint, watch Willow's demonstrations, receive valuable guidance, and enjoy artful discussions in a relaxed art studio environment. This is a painting technique focused course, strong drawing skills not needed.
All levels of painters are welcome.
- • 140lb cotton watercolor paper, cold press. Recommended: 9x12 Winsor & Newton cotton watercolor block or Blick Premier cotton.
• Watercolor paints, professional quality. Pan or tube set. Winsor & Newton, Sennelier, Daniel Smith, Holbein etc.
• Assorted round watercolor brushes assorted sizes 2-6. Recommended: Princeton Select series round or Princeton Velvetouch round.
• 1 flat watercolor wash brush size 1 inch.
• 1 pencil
• 1 roll of 3M Scotch Delicate Surface Painter's Washi Tape 0.7
• Paper towels
• Scissors
• 1 Sakura Gelly Roll, white pen size 8 or 10
• 1 Pebeo Brand drawing gum masking fluid pen 0.7mm
• 1 container for water
• Saral Brand transfer paper or other graphite transfer paper
• PRINTER: MUST HAVE ACCESS TO A PRINTER
