Use your Sketchbook to Explore Small Things: with Sumi Dip Pen, and Art Pens

In this class you will have the chance to draw small things, the things you may have overlooked in the past, to explore them with the tip of a sumi dip pen and art pens. Small and organic found things from the outdoors and garden will be the subject as well as small man-made objects. If you have favorite small objects you would like to draw please bring them.
Instruction Medium: Sumi dip pen and art pens
- 1 or more bamboo sumi dip pens, with some variety of tip if you are able
- A selection of art pens, with wide and fine and brush style tips, in colors you desire
- One or more colors of ink, black, walnut or colors of your choice
- A sketchbook with drawing weight paper or heavier
Willow Bader
Willow Bader always knew she was an artist. She was born in WA State and grew up drawing and creating at every opportunity. She studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia where she was generously awarded prizes and grants including the Scheidt Travel scholarship which she used for two months of travel in Europe. She currently shows with Cole Gallery in Edmonds WA and teaches at Gage Academy of Art. Her painting studio in Seattle is always open to visitors.
