Writing With Benefits
Some families find writing to be a difficult and painful task, but it need not be. In fact, children love to express themselves. You just have to make it fun and easy: feed the imagination with the kinds of things that appeal to them, and then let them run with it while you do the heavy lifting without them really noticing. That is, at first, they dictate, you write. Later, they naturally take that over, and, eventually, punctuation and spelling woes practically heal themselves. So far, all our kids love to write. I hope to help your families have similar joys through sharing what has fed that fire and what hasn’t, with plenty of examples and ideas for resources which might suit your families.
