Join us for a low-impact but high-intensity Water aerobics class. This class is designed to improve flexibility, range of motion, strength, muscle tone and cardiovascular endurance while using the resistance of the water to cushion the feet, knees and back. Exercises are performed to lively, motivating music and are effective and easy to follow. There will be deep and shallow exercises and modifications can be made based on the participant’s ability to swim and fitness level.

This program runs through both sessions and will run approximately 10 to 12 weeks. Specific dates can be found in the confirmation. Plus members are able to take one of the Water Aerobics courses as part of their membership. If Plus members take an additional section (beyond their free section), it is $50 for one additional section (which includes both sessions or approximately 10 sessions) or $100 for two additional sections (which includes both sessions or approximately 20 classes total). This class will run for both sessions.

 

This class is open to the La Roche staff, faculty, and the public for a fee. The fee for current staff and faculty is $50 per class/section. For the public, it is $100 for one section a week for the term, $175 for two sections, and $225 for three sections per week.

Cathy Fodor

Cathy Fodor has taught water aerobics, swimming lessons, lifeguarding, and many other aquatic programs for over 30 years. She is a certified Silver Sneakers instructor and enjoys creating fun aqua workouts for older adults.
