Victorian Poets

Lifelong Learning | Available (Membership Required)

Like Queens Elizabeth I and II, an era is named for Queen Victoria. This spring we will examine the works of the major British poets of the mid- to late-19th Century: Alfred Lord Tennyson, Matthew Arnold, Robert and Elizabeth Browning, and Gerard Manley Hopkins. Many of their works are still quoted in literature and film, e.g., “How do I love thee? / Let me count the ways.”

This class will start at 2:15pm and end at 3:45pm on Tuesday, February 25. All other days are 2-3:30pm.
