Historic Annapolis – Overnight Trip - Thursday and Friday, June 26 and 27, 2025
Good food! Good history! Good friends!
Join us for a history filled trip to this beautiful seaport and home of the US Naval Academy. With more surviving 18th century buildings than any other city in the United States - this is like stepping back to colonial times. Our trip includes:
- Round trip coach, rest room aboard, and rest stop as needed
- Overnight at the Historic Inns of Annapolis--18th and 19th century Victorian charm. Moments from Maryland's historic waterfront and across the street from the historic Maryland State House where the Treaty of Paris was ratified.
- 90-minute cruise into Chesapeake Bay and under the twin spans of the majestic Bay Bridge
- Dinner together Thursday night at Galway Bay Irish Pub
- Guided tour of the Maryland State House--the oldest still in continuous use in the United States and once served as the nation’s capital.
- Limited menu breakfast Friday morning at a local deli on Main St.
- Guided tour of the U. S. Naval Academy. What a fun, interesting and history-filled tour led by retired Navy officers. We'll be there the day after 1,200 plebes are inducted into the "Summer of Hell" Class of 2029.
- Free time for shopping, finding a crab cake sandwich or a creamery ice cream cone on Main St.
There will be a significant amount of walking (from the waterfront to the hotel and back). You will have to carry your bag(s) from the bus drop off to the hotel. Please pack lightly and appropriately for a one-night trip.
All travelers will need a government issued picture ID or passport for entry to 2 government buildings.
- Price per person based on single room - $575
- Price per person based on double occupancy - $460
- Price per person based on triple occupancy - $415
