Croatian Arts, History, and Heritage
Lifelong Learning | Registration opens 5/1/2025 9:00 AM EDT
This course is intended to survey the history, culture, traditions, and customs of the Croatian people, including immigration to the United States and especially to Pittsburgh. Special attention is given to one of Pittsburgh's most distinctive treasures: the striking murals of Maxo Vanka at St. Nicholas Croatian Church.
This course will meet for three weeks (May 21, 28, and June 4). On June 11, an optional tour will take place at the Maxo Vanka Murals at St. Nicholas Croation Church. The fee for the tour is $20. You will register for this after the initial registration rush. As of now, transportation is on your own but we can help coordinate shared rides with other members attending the tour.
