Sr. Elena Almendarez
Sr. Elena Almendarez, CDP, MA has been a Sister of Divine Providence for many years and ministered in the fields of education, parish ministry, and foster care. Sister Elena has served as a director at Roche University and Kearns Spirituality Center. Last fall, she became the Executive Director for Mission Integration and the University’s Chief Mission Officer. She looks forward to hosting programs and creating opportunities for lifelong learners, LRU staff, faculty, and students, and the greater community to connect deeper to LRU’s mission.
In addition, Sr. Elena has been an “obsessed” loom knitter for the past five years and loom knitted casually before that. She thinks loom knitting is fun and can be as easy or as complicated as a knitter chooses to make it.
