The Beginnings of Modern Art

This course will focus on the emergence of modern art in the nineteenth century marked by the Realism movement and will conclude around the Art Nouveau movement. This course will delve into both the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements in more detail than in our previous course.

Sydney Pascarella

Sydney Pascarella is both an artist and an art historian. She received two bachelor's degrees from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, one in Integrated Marketing Communication and one in Art. She received her Master's in Art History from West Virginia University and teaches art history courses at the undergraduate level. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, drawing, and painting.
