Mindfulness in the Holidays

Lifelong Learning | Registration opens 8/7/2025 9:00 AM EDT

Bake the cookies... buy the gifts... attend the parties.... wrap the presents... find that elusive parking spot... order the holiday cards... clean the house... cook the holiday meals... wash the dishes... get stuck in traffic... it seems like the holidays are anything but relaxing!  As we prepare for another holiday season, take the time to step back and become more present in the moment.  'Mindfulness in the Holidays' will introduce practices and teachings from a variety of faith traditions, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Daoism, and Christianity, that emphasize being present to each moment rather than focusing on what is yet to come.  Students will leave the class with a greater understanding of the spiritual practices of these religious traditions, a greater awareness of the present moment, and the beginning toolset to practice the 'simple/complex' traditions of mindfulness.
