This course will aid in a basic understanding of self and of others through analyzing how significant emotional events impact values in individuals and, therefore, impact behavior. The class will include student discussion and insight, lecture, discussion, and student interviews of others. Materials used to build this course are The People Puzzle by Morris Massey, The Remix: How to Lead and Succeed in the Multigenerational Workplace among others.

EmmaLee Hartle

Emma Lee Hartle is an eclectically skilled individual all stemming from a comprehensive
communications background. Having excellent written and oral presentation skills, she
sustained a career as a life-long educator and student in the fields of career planning, public
speaking & performing arts, psychology, management, and communications with a unique
creative edge. Adept at teaching, curriculum development, tutoring, and student services
gained through over 40 years’ experience in post-secondary education.
Her study of Intergenerational Differences began in the mid-1980s after an in-depth 15-hour
course based upon the writings of Dr. Morris Massey with further collaboration with Lindsay
Pollock in her writing of the book, The Remix.
