Have fun playing with clay and learning how to make ceramic art! Students will be guided through the process of working with water-based clay and ceramic tools. Projects will include ceramic bowls & pots, medallion necklaces, creature sculptures, and more!

Zally, Sandra

Sandra Zally is a native of the state of Maine, launching her fine art education at University of Southern Maine on the beautiful coast of Portland, Maine. After moving to the Valley in the 1990's, she also studied Advertising Art and Theater Art at Maricopa County Community Colleges. Her experience in the arts incorporates a wide variety of mediums; including Mural Painting, Scenic Painting for Youth Theaters, Children's Book Illustration, and Figurative Sculpture & Painting. Her art revels in family oriented subject matter and themes. Sharing her love of creativity with young creatives, Zally has enjoyed teaching, mentoring, and developing youth art programming for over 15 years. She has created visual art programming for City of Phoenix Community Centers, Phoenix Center for the Arts, Phoenix Youth Theater, Senior Centers, and Arizona State Fair. She currently serves as Director of Youth & Outreach for Scottsdale Artists' School. Her experience in Art Events Planning for festivals, fairs, art shows, and community centers has fostered her passion for infusing art education with career exploration, strengthening appreciation of the arts and its practical contributions to society, and increasing confidence of young artists in their unique and valuable skill set.
