Working from the nude model on a sustained pose, this unique four-day workshop is for artists wishing to expand their knowledge of the human figure through sculpture. Rick's innovative teaching style embraces the French method of "secret figure" - a knowledge/concept approach to understanding the body. This workshop will consist of daily sculpture demos by Rick covering proportion, anatomy, pose/action, and geometric construction. This proven method relies on memorization and understanding, thus students are advised to keep a sketch book during the week. Each student will sculpt their own 24" female figure in oil clay on a wire armature.
