Dan will spend day 1 and half of day 2 demonstrating, from drawing to second coat, how he plans, draws, and colors a piece. Beginning on day 2, Dan will demonstrate the fundamentals he follows using white billiard balls on a white surface in daylight in various situations. These will be the lessons that students will do step-by-step the rest of the week.

This workshop will be useful for students of all levels, from beginner to advanced, who want to learn a simple 10 color palette (taught to Dan by James Reynolds, no less) using a subject that requires no drawing skills. Dan will work over any piece as requested by the student IF the painting is not too large (18x24 inches or less), and the student is required to bring ALL their own reference material. Dan will help beginners select good reference materials.
