In this workshop, students may work in oil or acrylic since Krista is proficient in both. Paint from contemporary floral still life setups to further develop your skills in drawing, value, color and edges – all in a fun and relaxed environment. Students can work on smaller surfaces to capture portions of setups if they want to complete more paintings during the workshop.
Krista has been a prolific daily painter for a few years, and she sells her work online at DailyPaintworks.com. Krista will share an overview with the class on how to successfully market and sell art online. Each day, Krista will warm up the class with a demo, sharing her tips to create depth and dimension in a painting with a strong focal point. After her demos, students will have plenty of time to work on their own studies or complete paintings.

Eaton, Krista

Krista was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 1977. She now lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona. She studied at Emily Carr and with the Federation of Canadian Artists, and with many masters at the Scottsdale Artists School. Krista began her art career in drawings, and moved to water colors and acrylics, and now works primarily in oil. Krista is a now selling her work Internationally, through the online website Daily Paintworks, and works to promote her business through social media and has been very successful at doing so. She loves dramatic color found in her floral paintings which evoke feelings of joy and happiness.
