This workshop is an opportunity for students to concentrate on creating a beautiful and powerful landscape. Students will learn about principles of composition through this exciting process, where painting starts with an idea and gradually unfolds into a work of art.

Using landscape photo references, students will learn how to choose the right format and size for the painting along with how to use structure, rhythm, color and values to create a dynamic composition. Students will work their way through the challenging aspect of completing the painting using a few simple guidelines. Along the way, students will play with colors and discover what helps to create a coherent painting that stands out. The workshop will begin with an inspirational guidance, slideshow and short demonstration and will end with a group discussion and feedback from Larisa.
