We will be exploring traditional garb and objects associated with different Native American peoples. Understanding form, figure and portrait skills, and exciting clothing and objects, will all be addressed in this workshop. Efficiency in approach and effective drawing skills will be addressed as well. There will be daily demonstrations and emphasis on working quickly. www.krollroberts.com

Roberts, Ray

Ray Roberts studied with John Asaro at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He is a Signature member of Plein Air Painters of America, Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, California Art Club, and Northwest Rendezvous. He recently received a Gold Medal for “Best Painting” from the California Art Club and the Artists’ Choice Award at three major southwest art exhibitions. He has been featured in Southwest Art and Plein Air Magazine. Roberts and his wife, the artist Peggi Kroll Roberts, live in California. His work may be viewed at Medicine Man Galleries, Tucson, AZ; James J. Rieser Fine Art, Carmel, CA; and Hollis Gallery, South Pasadena, CA.
