Join Matt Sterbenz in an informative overview of color theory and how color is applied in landscape painting. Students will learn how to harness the three characteristics of color (Hue, Value, and Chroma) to create more dramatic and sensitive paintings. This class will cover everything the student needs to know about how to see color and paint landscapes. Matt will cover light, color temperature, atmospheric perspective, color harmony and color relationships, limited palettes, nocturnes, and much more. Each class will start with a short demonstration, and then students will work on their own paintings (with Matt’s guidance).
