Paint a simple desert landscape under a sunset sky using a simplified process. This basic approach applies to advanced painters, as well as introducing the delights of color and brushwork to those new to the medium. We will cover creative use of color and color mixing, brushwork and process.

If you would like to try oil painting before purchasing the necessary materials, you can rent supplies for the two-day workshop for $20. (Naturally, the canvas you paint on is not rented but yours to keep.) You need only bring a few items such as: apron, roll of paper towels, sketch book and pencil.

There will be demos, instruction at all levels as needed, one-on-one critique and lots of painting time. Class time will be structured, yet open enough to accommodate the artistic spirit within us all. All levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.
