Tuesdays / 1PM-4PM Mountain Standard (Arizona) Time / ONLINE!
Rocks, boulders and pebbles are the “bedrock” of landscape painting. Creating the shapes and depth of individual rocks and learning to combine many pebbles into a single collective shape that “says rocks” without detailing each is crucial to successful landscape painting. This class will focus on the challenge of painting a landscape in which rocks are a significant feature.
For this studio-at-home watercolor class we will use a photo and other class materials that will be sent to you by e-mail. (You are welcome and encouraged to paint from your own reference material whenever you wish.) During class time you will see demos and instruction with the painting demo shown full screen. You will have your own painting time during the class with individual critique throughout. Class time will be structured, yet open enough to accommodate the artistic spirit within us all. The only prerequisite is an attitude of joy in the act of painting!
