Join Linda at the Desert Caballeros Museum as she teaches a two-day workshop where students will paint a landscape in the museum learning center using photographs supplied by the instructor. The goal will be to create simple designs that have a strong foundation. Students will learn to create a feeling of the landscape that gives the painting life, instead of just copying a photograph. Much attention will be directed toward color mixing, the use of the color wheel and color mixing charts. This workshop will include instructor demonstrations. Photographs supplied by the instructor will include subject matter from the Grand Canyon, desert vistas, interior forests and high mountain scenes. www.goochstudio.com • Portable equipment and transportation required

Glover Gooch, Linda

A Westerner her whole life, Linda Glover Gooch grew up in the warmth of the Southwest. Linda prefers to work from life whenever possible. Studying and working on location throughout the west has been her pursuit for the last 30 years. Multiple trips and many hours on location bring new inspiration while working on site rejuvenates her, giving her the needed fuel to work in doors, bringing life into larger studio pieces. Linda continues to share her enthusiasm by teaching at the Scottsdale Artists’ School. Honored with numerous awards and recognitions, Linda’s paintings have been featured in museums and exhibitions including, Cowgirl Up! Art from the Other Half of the West at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona. 2021 Museum Purchase Award and Best of Show. A Timeless Legacy Women Artist of Glacier National Park, Hockaday Museum, Kalispell, Montana, 2017 & 2019 Nellie Augusta Knopf Patrons’ Choice Award. Cowgirl Up!
