Extended Studies: Drawing

This is an introductory drawing course simplified to help students further their representational artistic endeavors. Students will develop basic drawing skills, enhancing their ability to translate visual relationships, helping them organize and develop a two-dimensional story. Included will be an important focus of light and shadow on form and how to relate that information to your drawing and painting interpretation. Students will work from photos and drawings, as well as direct observation of still-life and model. Supplies included.

Michael Little
Mike studied at University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island School of Design and Cooper Union earning a BFA in drawing and printmaking and a MFA in painting. He has improved and changed with many workshops and classes at Scottsdale Artists’ School and fully expects to see even more diversity in his work.
Mike believes all things come from a strong understanding of drawing and that everyone has a style and voice that comes with practice and intuition.
