The class focuses on sketching techniques with emphasis line work, composition, light & shadow and editing; and enhancing sketches with color. Duane, is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects and registered landscape architect (RLA), and certified planner (AICP). His research and professional interests include urban sketching, storyboard and conceptual diagramming with a passion for pen & ink sketching. He received his BSLA from Kansas State University, and MLA from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Duane’s background includes over 40 years of professional practice in the private consulting sector with a midcareer break teaching at the University of Colorado, Denver; with later teaching assignments at Arizona State University.  @blossomduane
