During this workshop, students will learn to paint exciting and expressive watercolors! Students will be painting flowers from fresh arrangements that Grace will bring in on the first day; students are encouraged to bring some as well. On the second day, Grace will demonstrate her process of painting people. Grace will supply the photos to paint from on this second day. Grace Haverty
Grace Haverty grew up in Brooklyn, New York and frequented the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Even though she loved art it did not occur to her to try her hand at painting for many years. She worked for Young and Rubicarn advertising agency on Madison Avenue and was involved with the print and TV operations but not in the art department.
She is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societys and Arizona Watercolor Association. She is also a Master Signature member of the Pastel Society of America.
She is featured in numerous books and magazines. Some of which are: Drawing & Sketching Secrets over 200 Tips and Techniques, Splash 15, Splash 19, The Best of Pastel, The Best of Watercolor, 100 Ways to Paint Still Life and Florals.
