Create and Cast Your Own Bronze Sculpture
Class | Available
Jerry will be teaching an exciting sculpture class in which students will create their own small sculpture in wax and watch it cast in bronze at a foundry. In the first two sessions, students will learn the history and mysteries of bronze casting and create a small 6” sculpture to later be cast in bronze. For the third session, students will meet at the foundry where they will experience the bronze casting process, including a bronze pour and the divestment of their own sculptures. The final session will meet back at the School where the class will finish and photograph their bronze sculptures. Students may bring their own small sculpture tools or borrow ones from the instructor.
