Simon Kogan

Simon V. Kogan is an internationally renowned and influential artist and teacher. Born and trained in Russia, Simon comes from the rare breed of renaissance masters where the artist develops and produces everything himself -- from planning, designing, making the paint to decorate the walls, and sculpture to adorn it from inside out.

A once-in-a-generation artist across multiple mediums, Simon is known for his complex yet paleolithic representation of the human soul and spirit - a vague yet powerful view of our collective and individual pneuma. Simon's depth of talent and skill offers a unique capacity to create intricate, tempestuous, and haunting depictions of humankind, be it through bronze, clay, paint, glass, ink, or wood.

After emigrating to the United States in 1991, Simon has created inspired works that acknowledge the history, beauty, and pain of those who have sacrificed in the cause of freedom and justice. In 2022, Simon was recognized by the Washington State legislature for his contributions in enriching the community and elevating the human experience.
