Foundations of Artistic Growth: A Five Day Intensive

Workshop | Available

This focused workshop is a powerful, time tested curriculum designed for artists who want clarity, confidence, and measurable progress in their landscape painting. John breaks down the fundamentals—values, color mixing, atmosphere, composition, edges,  and brushwork—into straightforward, easy to understand methods that remove guesswork and help you diagnose why a painting is or isn’t working. Through demonstrations, guided studies, and eight to ten focused painting exercises, you’ll build a repeatable process that strengthens your decision making at the easel. Expect daily one on one feedback, class critiques, and a supportive

structure that meets you exactly where you are. Demos are in acrylic, but the principles apply to any medium. Ideal for beginners through advanced painters seeking a breakthrough in skill and understanding. www.johnpoonstudio.com
