The landscape is a powerful teacher that can help artists develop potent connections to their medium, subject, and self – the foundation of the best and most inventive painting. Through daily live demos, hands-on instruction, and Q&A conversations arising from the outdoor, observational painting process, attendees will have the chance to explore the rudiments of their unique creative voice – and then build on their discoveries through landscape painting. Time will be divided between outdoor and in-studio work.

Depending on weather, painting times may change and take place in the morning or later afternoon, with a break in between, so students are not painting during the hottest part of the day. Plein Air experience suggested. www.jivanlee.com
