Warren Heilman

The Romantic Period continues its meandering way through the nineteenth century with composers such as Johann Strauss II, Anton Rubenstein, Camille Saint-Saens, Georges Bizet, Jules Massenet, Edvard Grieg, Gabriel Faure, and Leos Janacek. This course features their most memorable and accomplished works in audio recordings of the

finest performances. The music is complemented by brief biographical sketches, placing each composer in context.

Warren Heilman earned a BM in music education from Kent State University and holds an MS and EdS from Georgia Southern. A retired band director, he has been a musical director of Bay Street Theatre, Collective Face Performance Ensemble, Savannah Children’s Theatre, and Armstrong State University.
