Roger Smith has directed The Learning Center since its 2007 founding at Senior
Citizens, Inc. His background in education includes languages, literature, and history, and he views films as literary texts in addition to societal statements.

Jospeh Wheeler enjoyed a long career in training for diversity and inclusion for major U.S. and global corporations. Before his relocation to Savannah in 2024, he served in leadership capacities for senior audiences in North Carolina.

Both Roger Smith and Joseph Wheeler belong to the Third Act, a Savannah Pride Center program for people over age 55.

  • Films are screened at 5:15 pm each Thursday of the series with closed captioning when available.
