Three feature films span queer experience, from gay to lesbian to trans, to yield unique views into modern familial relationships and cultural challenges.
Guided, introspective discussions in a safe and affirming environment take place after each film screening.

Roger Smith has directed The Learning Center since its 2007 founding at Senior Citizens, Inc. His background in education includes languages, literature, and history, and he views films as literary texts in addition to societal statements.
Jospeh Wheeler enjoyed a long career in training for diversity and inclusion for major U.S. and global corporations. Before his relocation to Savannah in 2024, he served in leadership capacities for senior audiences in North Carolina.
Both Roger Smith and Joseph Wheeler belong to the Third Act, a Savannah Pride Center program for people over age 55.
