Designed for those who’ve never written a poem but would like to try, as well as for poets of varying degrees of experience, this course emphasizes the craft. Workshop participants analyze sample poems to explore imagery, line length, sound effects, and form. They will enjoy writing and revising their own poetry in a supportive atmosphere.

Anne Green discovered poetry writing at the Great Smokies Writing Program of  UNC-Asheville. Her books of poetry include The Season Lengthens, Minute Men and Women, and The Watchful Eye.
