ROGER SMITH
3:30-4:30 PM | MONDAYS, JANUARY 12 THROUGH FEBRUARY 23

How did Savannah and Georgia evolve from the most loyal of the thirteen colonies in British North America to a theater for some of the most poignant and dramatic moments of the American Revolution? Beginning with Georgia’s succession of three Royal governors and the road to revolution, this course progresses through a lengthy British occupation, the bloody Siege of Savannah, the ultimate victory of the Continental Army, and the years of the early republic, including luminaries such as Nathanael Greene, George Washington, and the Marquis de Lafayette.

  •  This course is not open to individual session attendance. There is no class meeting on February 9.
This program will be recorded and subsequently released via email.
