T.S. ELIOT: MODERN MAN SHRINKS AWAY
Wednesday Courses | Available
RICHARD BRAITHWAITE
1:30 – 2:30 PM | WEDNESDAYS | JUNE 10, 17, 24
Eliot’s modern man dissolves into shadows: Prufrock’s paralysis, the Fisher King’s impotence, Sweeny’s crude physicality, and the hopelessness of The Waste Land converge into the fragmented hollowness of modernity.
Richard Braithwaite is a novelist, lecturer, and teacher. His undergraduate degree from Dartmouth University and his master’s degree from the University of Florida are in literature and fiction writing. He has led numerous courses at The Learning Center.
