THE PSYCHOLOGY OF CREATIVITY: THE LIVES BEHIND THE ART
Wednesday Courses | Available
LOU STOREY | 3:00 – 4:30 PM | WEDNESDAYS JUNE 10, 17, 24
What drives people to create great art? Through the personal stories of artists such as van Gogh, Kahlo, Picasso, Rousseau, Dali, O’Keeffe, Monet, Darger and others, this interactive course explores the psychological forces behind creativity—struggle, obsession, reinvention. Exposed to both familiar and lesser-known works of art, participants learn the human stories behind them and discuss where creativity exists in our own lives.
As a visual artist with terminal degrees in both fine art and psychology, Lou Storey finds interest in the behaviors and backgrounds of the artists themselves, believing there is more to learn about the art by knowing its maker.
