ANECDOTAL DYLAN
Wednesday Courses | Available
ENOCH HENDRY
1:30 – 2:30 PM WEDNESDAYS | AUGUST 5 THROUGH 26
Can Bob Dylan “sing”? Did Dylan really win a Nobel Prize? And a Pulitzer? An Academy Award? Is Dylan a folk singer, a poet, a rock and roller, or, as he once described himself, “a song and dance man”? This course examines the “voice of a generation” through songs, performances, and stories—personal, legendary, and apocryphal.
Enoch Hendry, a Savannah native, is a “Telfair Baby.” Raised in Blueberry Hill and Magnolia Park, he recalls when Abercorn Street ended at DeRenne Avenue. Already a fan of Bob Dylan, Enoch Hendry became obsessed in 1975.
