Laura Davenport is an award-winning poet and educator from Birmingham, Alabama. She received an MFA in poetry from Virginia Commonwealth University and has taught creative writing and composition. She works at Savannah College of Art and Design and serves on the board of Seersucker Live, Inc., a nonprofit promoting literary events and community in Savannah.
