Rethinking Color: A Painting Seminar
5 weeks: March 29 - April 26, 2023

With the goal of enhancing your ability to apply color, we will rethink color through quick exercises, demonstrations and looking. Color theory, color mixing, color meanings, and paint application will all be explored. At the end of this course, you will have a concise review of color and clear methods for exploring color in your paintings.

  • Community members are not required to show proof of vaccination to participate in studio programs. We recommend, but do not require, masks in our studio spaces to help protect those who are most vulnerable to transmission.

    We require a minimum number of five students enrolled in a class in order for it to run. If the class is at risk of cancellation, students will be notified at least one week prior to the start of class. Please note: we are not able to offer membership discounts at this time. Financial aid is available for tuition-based courses here; the deadline to apply is March 22.
  • Paints of your choice (with a wide selection of colors), paint brushes, rags, sketch or notebook, pencil, scissors, glue stick, and paper to paint on such as Canson XL oil and Acrylic Pads
