A six-week class that serves as a crash course into the world of Cosplay intended for teenagers as a way to learn self-expression through interpreting a beloved character in the form of a costume. We will learn basic sewing, and how to make a costume personal to you, with one one-on-one time with the instructor to discuss the student's costume with Lily Mullins, a competitive cosplayer, and their instructor. Students will leave the class with basic sewing skills, problem-solving experience, and a costume consisting of at least one article made completely from scratch.
