This 10-week course will introduce the student to basic skills needed for fashion illustration. Topics include drawing the fashion model (“croquis”) based on the industry standard of a ”9 head scale”. After the basic structure is drawn, various poses will be introduced. As the student gains more confidence in drawing these poses, further details of poses will be practiced, such as hands and feet. Clothes are added and various textiles will be rendered. A 2nd skill will be taught; that of “flats” or “spec drawings”. Clothing details will be explored.
